At Vita Nova Counseling, our mission is to help people from every walk of life experience renewal, healing, and transformation through the power of God’s Word. “Vita Nova” means “new life” and reflects our commitment to walking alongside you as you embrace the abundant life that Jesus promises.

I’m Michael, a pastor, coach, and biblical counselor with over two decades of experience in ministry. My calling has taken me through some of life’s most challenging valleys and rewarding mountaintops. Born and raised in Ontario, Canada, I’ve spent much of my life shepherding others while navigating my own journey of faith, family, and ministry.

There was a season when I, too, faced burnout. While serving as a lead pastor, the weight of leadership, counseling, and conflict took its toll, and I stepped away for a time of deep soul care and renewal. That experience shaped my understanding of what it means to minister from a place of health and wholeness and has inspired me to offer the same care to others.

I’m also a husband, a father, a writer, and a photographer. I love creating—whether it’s through crafting words that encourage, capturing beauty with my camera, or grilling something delicious on my Blackstone flattop.
